myrbw.dev runs ranked communities on Discord: matchmaking, moderation, game servers and a public website for each community. This page says what personal data that involves, in plain language. We do not sell personal data, we do not show ads and we do not track you across other sites.
1. Who is responsible
myrbw.dev is run by an individual developer. Each Discord community (a “guild”) that uses it decides what to do with its own players' data, such as ranks, match history and moderation records. In data-protection terms the community operator is the controller of that data and myrbw.dev acts for it as a processor. For sign-in data and the platform itself, myrbw.dev is the controller. Questions: wiggels on Discord.
2. What we collect and why
| Data | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| When you sign in with Discord: your Discord ID, username, display name, avatar, and the list of servers you can manage. | To know who you are and which communities you may configure. We do not ask for your email address. | In an encrypted cookie in your browser for at most 7 days. We do not keep a user account table. |
| Community records: a player's Discord ID, nickname, rating, wins and losses, match history, strikes and punishments. | To run the ranked system the community set up. | By the community's own database until the community or the player asks for removal. |
| Store purchases: the provider's payment reference, item, amount, currency, status and the buyer's Discord ID. | To show you your purchases and let the community deliver what you bought. | For as long as the community must keep sales records. You can detach them from your account at any time. |
| Technical data: IP address and browser type in server logs and in short-lived rate-limit counters. | Security, abuse prevention and keeping the service running. | Logs for a short period set by our hosting provider. Rate-limit counters live in memory and expire within minutes. |
We never receive or store card numbers, bank details or crypto wallet keys. Payments happen on the payment provider's own page.
3. Legal bases
If you live in the EU, UK or a similar region: we use your data to provide the service you asked for (contract), to keep it secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests), to keep records the law requires (legal obligation), and to remember your preferences. Where we ever rely on consent we will ask for it first and let you withdraw it.
4. Who else sees it
- Discord handles sign-in and serves avatars. Its own privacy policy applies to that.
- Payment providers (for example Stripe, Tebex, Coinbase Commerce, PayPal) when you choose to pay. They are independent controllers of your payment details.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that run this service for us.
- Community staff can see their own community's records, including purchases made in their store.
- Optional embeds that a community adds to its page, such as YouTube, Twitch, Spotify, SoundCloud, Google Maps or a Discord widget. These load only after you click to load them. mc-heads.net supplies player head images, which means it sees the player name and your IP address when a page with those images loads. Pages that use custom fonts load them from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address.
We do not sell or rent personal data.
5. Cookies and local storage
Only the ones needed to sign you in and remember your settings. No analytics or advertising cookies. The full list is on the cookie policy.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the data we hold about you, to object to how it is used, and to complain to your data-protection authority. In practice:
- Purchases: sign in to a community's website, open Transactions and use “Detach my purchases from my account”. It takes effect immediately.
- Your player records in a community: ask that community's staff (a ticket in its Discord). They can hide your public profile or remove your records.
- Anything else, or if you are stuck: use the data request page or write to wiggels on Discord. We answer within 30 days.
7. Children
You need a Discord account to use myrbw.dev, and Discord requires its users to be at least 13 (or older where the law of their country says so). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you think a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the data.
8. Email
We do not send newsletters or marketing email. If we ever send a service email we will say why, and any marketing email would carry a one-click unsubscribe link and would only go to people who asked for it.
9. Security
Sign-in cookies are encrypted, signed in transit with HTTPS and not readable by scripts. Webhook secrets are encrypted at rest. Access to a community's settings is checked against your Discord permissions (re-checked every few minutes). No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell signed-in users on their next visit.
